A longtime wellness educator trades conventional self-help for something sharper. Her new book presents a bold guide to building inner strength, one impeccable day at a time.
You are exhausted. Not from doing too much, but from bleeding energy in a thousand invisible ways. The drama you did not ask for. The guilt that loops on repeat. The low hum of everyday stress beneath everything you do. Author Karen Bentley has built her new book around a single, provocative question: what if some of it could stop?
Her answer arrives in The WarriorSTRONG Manifesto, published April 16, 2026. It is, by design, not a gentle book. A manifesto, as Bentley reminds her readers, is a bold, unapologetic declaration of new and revolutionary ideas. Hers lays out what she calls the uncommon, countercultural life of the everyday warrior, a path built on the strategic accumulation of personal power.
A Different Kind of Strength
Most people, Bentley argues, spend their lives on autopilot, controlled by what she calls the “ego robot,” the unconscious programming that drives us to waste our life force on revenge fantasies, self-judgment, and reactivity that leaves us drained, stuck, and small. The warrior’s strategy is the opposite. It is the impeccable use of life energy, energy that is consciously conserved, deliberately accumulated, and carefully redeployed.
She likes to compare it to money. “Saving life energy works the same way saving money works,” she writes. “Money is saved by not spending it.” Stop the leaks, and Bentley argues that those reserves can contribute to a stronger, calmer, more intentional version of yourself. This is not, she insists, about meditating your problems away or thinking positive thoughts. It is about the deliberate elimination of waste and the precise redirection of what you save.
Three Skills, Not Twenty
What sets the book apart from the crowded self-help shelf is its refusal to be self-help at all. Bentley reframes the whole enterprise as self-determination. And where many programs hand readers a sprawling checklist, hers narrows the work to three high-impact skills: STOPPING any habitual behavior, HARMLESSNESS (overriding the impulse to self-destruct or seek revenge), and EXTREME SELF-CARE, which means taking care of yourself like you actually mean it.
Three skills to learn, not twenty. Three to practice. Three to fold into daily life. Warriors then live by a DailyCode, a self-determined set of tasks done every day with the single goal of living one impeccable day. Bentley describes walking your talk as a joyful way to live.
Who It Is For
Bentley wrote the book for high performers and aspiring ones, as well as readers who crave inner strength and self-mastery but feel underutilized, unfulfilled, and frankly tired of soft, generic advice. For someone facing difficult habits, periods of stress, or simply feeling ready to stop playing small, the manifesto offers what Bentley describes as a clear, doable strategy for moving beyond limiting patterns and toward a more intentional life.
She issues one warning to anyone who picks it up: once the mind is opened, it can never be closed.
The Woman Behind the Manifesto
Bentley is no newcomer to transformation. An author, educator, and entrepreneur, she has spent decades working in the sugar-free and carb-smart nutrition space and created The Sugar-Free Miracle Diet System, the LOVE Experience, and the WarriorSTRONG training programs. A summa cum laude graduate of Northeastern University in education and exercise physiology, she also received the Boston Bouve Award for academic achievement and co-founded The Bentley Company with her late husband, William Bentley.
Her perspective, though, is as much lived as it is earned. “I had the good fortune to have multiple long-term life experiences with challenging behaviors, challenging relationships, and difficult, constricting situations,” she says. Those hardships, she explains, forced her to develop the mindset, skills, and wisdom to thrive and to love herself no matter what. “My superpower is defying gravity and being the living demonstration of what is possible, so that others can copy it and do it, too.”
A Bigger Dream Taking Shape
In 2026, Bentley became the founder and owner of The Big Heart Center in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, a lifelong dream taking shape this summer. The Center will house her Warrior’s Academy, what she hopes will be the world’s largest Heart Museum (a Guinness record is on her wish list), and a public garden built around a forgiveness labyrinth. The book and the building share a purpose: to give people a place, and a method, for exploring what Bentley describes as becoming their own hero.
That is the heart of her invitation. Power, as she puts it, begins the moment you decide to be WarriorSTRONG. Bentley sums up that philosophy with the idea that readers are “one decision away from a totally different life.” In her view, who someone was yesterday does not have to determine what comes next. As Bentley would say, game on.
