Tyrone Jackson has always been drawn to the spotlight. Even as a kid, he loved to perform for anyone willing to watch. “I was that kid who saw any group of people as my audience,” Jackson laughs. That childhood love for performing quickly evolved into a career that’s made him one of the key players in entertainment news. Today, Jackson is the creator and host of Hot in Hollywood, a show that dives into the entertainment world from a fresh, multicultural perspective, covering everything from huge blockbusters to indie projects you’ve probably never heard of—until now.
Jackson’s talent for telling stories started when he was young. “Even in high school, I could spin a story that would have everyone listening,” he says. But it wasn’t until he joined his junior high drama program that he realized his true path. “That was the moment I knew I wanted to be a performer for life,” he shares. From there, Jackson’s journey took him from school stages to television screens, and eventually into producing and content creation.
One of the biggest turning points for Jackson was attending New York’s High School of Performing Arts—the same school that inspired the movie Fame. “It was an amazing experience,” he says. “I was surrounded by super-talented students, many of whom went on to become Hollywood stars.” It was an intense environment that pushed Jackson to work harder and dream bigger.
But Jackson’s rise to the top wasn’t without its struggles. One of the most important lessons he learned? The power of owning his own content. “At some point, I realized that in the entertainment industry, you have to own what you create. Otherwise, you’re just another employee,” Jackson explains. That realization pushed him to create Hot in Hollywood, a show he not only hosts but fully owns.
Going from performer to content creator wasn’t easy, but Jackson quickly learned that producing a show involves more than just having a great idea. “As a producer, you need a vision, and you also have to be able to sell that vision,” Jackson says. “In Hollywood, being able to pitch a show to the right people is just as important as making the show itself.” It’s a skill that helped him take Hot in Hollywood from an idea to a successful show.
Hot in Hollywood didn’t blow up overnight. What makes it stand out is its approach to entertainment news—it shines a light on both big-budget films and smaller indie projects, all while celebrating diversity in the industry. “A lot of today’s top directors, writers, and producers come from different backgrounds, and our show highlights that,” Jackson explains. This focus on multicultural representation has made Hot in Hollywood a hit with audiences looking for something different.
One of Jackson’s main goals is keeping the show exciting and relevant to viewers. “People are naturally curious about the lives of celebrities,” he says. “We want to know everything—what they’re eating, drinking, and how they stay looking so good. That curiosity will never go away.” Jackson taps into that curiosity with his laid-back, relatable hosting style, which has helped him build a loyal following.
With the entertainment industry changing so quickly, Jackson is always thinking ahead. Social media and streaming have completely changed how people consume entertainment news, and Jackson is all in on the future. “People don’t just want headlines anymore—they want details,” he explains. To keep up with the demand, Jackson is launching the Hot in Hollywood TV app in 2025. “Once you download the app, you’ll get 24/7 access to entertainment news, celebrity gossip, and podcasts. And the best part? It’s free.”
But that’s just the beginning. Jackson has big plans to expand beyond entertainment reporting. “We’re working on 500 new channels of original content,” he reveals. “In today’s world, an app is like owning your own TV network, and that’s the space where I see myself thriving.” Jackson’s vision for the digital world is all about staying ahead of the curve and offering audiences something they can’t get anywhere else.
Though Jackson is well-known as the face of Hot in Hollywood, he’s just as passionate about producing behind the scenes. “I love coming up with show ideas, building the set, and casting the talent,” he says. “For me, casting is the key. When you get the right people together, magic happens.”
Despite his packed schedule, Jackson stays grounded by doing something he loves outside of work—cooking. “When I’m not working, I’m in the kitchen, cooking high-end meals. There’s something magical about getting all the flavors to blend perfectly,” he shares. It’s clear that Jackson’s creative energy isn’t limited to just one area—whether it’s entertainment or food, he’s all about crafting something special.
Tyrone Jackson is more than just a host—he’s a visionary changing the game in entertainment, with no signs of slowing down.
