About Jeremy Yost
Jeremy Yost is an entrepreneur, developer, and leader focused on multifamily development and property management in Charleston, Illinois. His approach to business was shaped early by watching his father build and operate a local business, where he learned the importance of hard work, accountability, and persistence.
Yost later served in the United States Navy as a Personnel Specialist, managing responsibilities involving pay, travel claims, transfers, separations, and retirements. The experience strengthened his attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and service-oriented leadership.
After leaving the Navy, Yost entered real estate and founded a management and consulting operation after recognizing an opportunity to improve property operations. What began with a single property grew into a portfolio of more than 37 properties and over 2,000 units across Illinois, encompassing multifamily, affordable, and supportive housing, development, and property management.
His career has included significant challenges. During the COVID-19 pandemic, financing was withdrawn from a Hilton Garden Inn and Convention Center development in Mattoon, Illinois. Yost continued pursuing financing alternatives, ultimately making 303 calls to lenders before securing a new commitment. The experience reinforced his focus on persistence, adaptability, relationships, and preparation.
Today, his professional philosophy emphasizes strong teams, careful operations, long-term relationships, and the connection between development and effective property management.
