Jennifer Lopez has us all craving a new red nail look. Tom Bachik, a celebrity nail artist, gave the 54-year-old star a lustrous red set he termed a “cherry mocha mani.” Bachik showcased the nail color on Instagram on October 15, captioning it as “Fall Mani inspo.” He used Essie’s Bordeaux color and shaped Lopez’s nails into a square-round form.
Bachik exclusively shared with Us Weekly that red shades are currently in high demand. He described the color as “ideal for the fall season,” and said, “This cherry mocha complements any skin tone and is fashioned to be short and robust, very much in the Parisian style.”
This isn’t the first instance of Bachik collaborating with Lopez. He was also the creative mind behind her almond-shaped, milky-colored nails for her August 2022 wedding to Ben Affleck in Georgia. At that time, he posted a picture of the nails on Instagram, captioning it, “Love looks good on you, @jlo.”
The glossy nails matched perfectly with Lopez’s elaborate Ralph Lauren wedding dress. The full-length gown featured a turtleneck and a frilled hem. Ralph Lauren disclosed that the dress was crafted using “over 1,000 hand-cut handkerchiefs and 500 meters of fabric.”
For the reception, Lopez changed into a body-contouring mermaid dress, also designed by Ralph Lauren. The elegant dress had a keyhole neckline and was adorned with Swarovski crystals. The dress was completed with a full skirt covered with an organza overlay. Lopez paired the dress with a transparent, cropped veil.
Lopez then switched outfits again, impressing the guests with a “chandelier pearl” gown. According to Ralph Lauren, the gown was made with “thousands of cascading strings of pearls” and took “700 hours” of work by at least 30 artisans. The gown was hand-embroidered with micro-pleats of silk tulle, tiny pearl decorations, and Swarovski crystals.
Before their Georgia wedding, Lopez and Affleck had a secret ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022, following a rekindling of their early 2000s romance a year earlier. Both have children from their previous marriages. Lopez has 15-year-old twins, Emme and Max, with her former spouse Marc Anthony. Affleck co-parents Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
