About Doctor Armen Hagopjanian
Armen Hagopjanian, DPM, FACFAS, is a foot and ankle surgeon and Founder and CEO of the Los Angeles Institute of Foot and Ankle Surgery. His practice focuses on trauma and reconstruction of the foot and ankle, total ankle and total talus replacement, and complex revision procedures. His work centers on surgical care for patients with injuries and reconstructive needs.
Dr. Hagopjanian began his medical education at Yerevan State Medical Institute in Armenia and continued his studies in the United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles, before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from California College of Podiatric Medicine, now Samuel Merritt College. He is board-certified in foot and ankle surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
His work includes establishing a total ankle replacement program in Los Angeles and teaching surgeons how to perform these procedures. He also serves as a consultant for orthopedic companies and participates in education internationally. Outside clinical work, Dr. Hagopjanian is involved in service as President of Eternal Nation Foundation, which supports injured soldiers in Armenia.
He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the California Podiatric Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
