Megan Fox has taken a reflective stance regarding her participation in previous challenging relationships. During a segment on The Drew Barrymore Show, which will be broadcast on November 10, Fox, at 37 years of age, engaged in a candid discussion with the host, Drew Barrymore, about her love life’s journey and her engagement with Machine Gun Kelly.
Addressing the curiosity surrounding the possibility that Machine Gun Kelly’s lyrics might be inspired by her, Fox expressed her evolved perspective of detachment. She acknowledged that upon encountering certain lyrics, she questioned their explicitness but ultimately accepted them as long as they represented the truth. Fox emphasized the importance of owning up to her part in relationships and supported the idea of channeling personal experiences into art.
In her connection with Kelly, whose birth name is Colson Baker, Fox highlighted the mutual support they share. She touched upon her own venture into poetry with her book, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” which doesn’t shy away from portraying Kelly in a complex light.
Fox pointed out the differences in artistic expression between acting and songwriting, noting that while Kelly finds solace in music, her acting career doesn’t offer the same personal outlet. Hence, she found solace in poetry, an avenue supported by Kelly as part of loving someone.
Reflecting on her younger years, Fox humorously suggested that those who dated her then might have enough material for their own poetic ventures, hinting at her challenging nature during her twenties.
In her poetry collection released on November 7, Fox describes Kelly as her “true love, twin flame,” yet doesn’t hesitate to explore darker themes, labeling him as a “32-year-old narcissist” and a “complacent rock star” in other parts. One poem draws a parallel between her relationship with Kelly and a relentless addiction, a sentiment that speaks to the intensity of their bond.
Fox also shared a deeply personal loss, revealing a miscarriage that occurred during their relationship, providing a glimpse into the profound emotional experiences she has navigated.
Despite their engagement since 2022, the couple has faced speculation about their relationship’s stability, with rumors of a split earlier in the year following a reported argument. This led to Fox removing images of Kelly from her social media. Recent updates suggest that their wedding plans are on hold as they prioritize strengthening their relationship’s foundation.
Fox is a mother to three children with her former spouse, Brian Austin Green, and Kelly is a father to his daughter Casie with ex Emma Cannon.
