Cardi B and Offset Face Lawsuit for Allegedly Causing $85,000 in Damages to L.A. Rental Property

Lawsuit Against Cardi B and Offset

Famous rappers Cardi B and Offset face a lawsuit concerning their stay at a rental home in Los Angeles. Documents presented in court reveal accusations of breach of contract and negligence against them by the property’s owner. The couple is alleged to have resided in the L.A. home for nearly two years, departing in October without prior notification. Furthermore, it’s claimed that during a certain timeframe, they failed to settle their rent and utility bills.

The property owner’s grievances extend to significant damage left in the house. The litany of damages includes fractured furniture, holes in walls, and enduring marks and abrasions on limestone tile flooring, carpets, and drapes. Additional damage includes burn marks on various surfaces like tabletops, countertops, and cabinetry. The estimated cost for repairs stands at a minimum of $85,000. Despite efforts to address these issues, the owner asserts that both Cardi B and Offset have not responded to multiple communication attempts.

This legal matter surfaces just weeks after Cardi B publicly disclosed her single status, signaling an end to her relationship with Offset. During a recent Instagram Live, the “Bodak Yellow” artist expressed her solo journey, revealing her hesitation in sharing this news earlier. Concurrently, Offset addressed and denied allegations of infidelity involving rapper Chrisean Rock, brought to light by Blueface.

Speculations of the couple’s separation began gaining traction in December, following their mutual decision to unfollow each other on Instagram. Cardi B hinted at outgrowing certain relationships and prioritizing her own well-being in an Instagram Story post.

Despite the current challenges, sources close to Cardi B remain optimistic about a potential reconciliation between the two. They’ve weathered numerous relationship storms, continually finding their way back to each other. The couple, parents to Kulture, aged 5, and Wave, aged 2, have a history of separations and reconciliations. Their first split occurred in December 2018 amidst allegations of Offset’s infidelity, followed by Cardi B filing for divorce in September 2020, only to withdraw the action two months later.
