Olga Amraie Interviews International Fashion Producer Serge Tagro About Hollywood, Leadership, and the Future of Fashion
Fashion audiences usually remember the designer, the models, and the final look on the runway. They rarely think about the producer responsible for bringing every element together. Celebrity News sat down with international fashion producer Serge Tagro, founder of RunwayDiamonds, for a conversation with fashion producer and PR strategist Olga Amraie about leadership, creativity, and why the future of fashion depends on collaboration rather than competition.
Interview by Olga Amraie
Olga Amraie: Serge, people often see the glamour of a fashion show, but very few understand what a fashion producer actually does. How would you describe your profession?
Serge Tagro: That is probably the biggest misconception about our industry.
Many people believe a fashion producer simply organizes an event.
In reality, the responsibility is much broader.
As the founder of RunwayDiamonds, I see my role as creating the conditions for other talented people to succeed.
Designers need an environment where their collections can shine. Photographers need access to compelling editorial moments. Media need authentic stories. Sponsors need meaningful partnerships. Models need professional opportunities.
My responsibility is to connect all of those people into one experience that feels effortless to the audience, even though months of planning happen behind the scenes.
Olga Amraie: You often speak about relationships rather than events. Why is that so important?
Serge Tagro: Because events end.
Relationships don’t.
I’ve always believed that a successful fashion event is measured not only by what happens on the runway but by what happens afterward.
Did a designer meet a photographer? Did a photographer connect with a magazine? Did a brand discover a new partnership?
Those moments create careers.
That philosophy has guided RunwayDiamonds from the beginning.
I never wanted to build only another runway platform.
I wanted to build a professional community.
Olga Amraie: You work between different creative cultures. How has that influenced your approach?
Serge Tagro: Every city teaches you something different.
Los Angeles teaches collaboration because entertainment and fashion naturally work together.
London teaches professionalism and respect for tradition.
European fashion generally places enormous value on craftsmanship and heritage.
When you experience different markets, you stop believing there is only one correct way to produce fashion.
Instead, you learn to respect local culture while maintaining international standards.
That balance is extremely important for anyone producing international fashion events.
Olga Amraie: Many emerging designers believe participating in a runway show is the ultimate goal. Do you agree?
Serge Tagro: Not really.
A runway is an opportunity.
Not a destination.
One show will not build a career.
But one meaningful relationship might.
That’s why every RunwayDiamonds production is designed to encourage conversations as much as presentations.
The show introduces people.
The relationships build the future.
Olga Amraie: You’ve worked with designers, photographers, media professionals, entrepreneurs, and creative teams. What qualities do you notice in the people who build lasting careers?
Serge Tagro: Originality. Professionalism. Consistency. And curiosity.
Talent gets people’s attention.
Professionalism earns their respect.
Consistency earns their trust.
Curiosity keeps them growing.
The people who continue learning are usually the people who continue succeeding.
Olga Amraie: How has technology changed your work as a fashion producer?
Serge Tagro: Technology has changed almost everything.
We communicate differently. We market differently. Artificial intelligence is changing how people discover designers and brands.
But the foundation hasn’t changed.
People still choose to work with people they trust.
Technology helps us find each other.
It doesn’t replace human relationships.
That’s why I believe the role of a fashion producer has become even more important.
Someone still needs to bring talented people together.
Olga Amraie: What role does editorial media play in building a fashion brand today?
Serge Tagro: A very important one.
Social media creates attention.
Editorial media creates credibility.
When people read an interview or an article, they learn the story behind the designer, the brand, or the event.
That creates understanding.
Understanding creates trust.
For me, every fashion production should generate not only beautiful photographs but also meaningful stories that continue creating value long after the event ends.
Olga Amraie: What is your vision for RunwayDiamonds over the next few years?
Serge Tagro: To continue connecting creative professionals internationally.
We are developing relationships between Los Angeles, London, and other international fashion markets because creativity grows when different cultures meet.
My goal has never been simply to organize more events.
My goal is to build opportunities.
If designers, photographers, entrepreneurs, media professionals, and brands leave our events with stronger careers and stronger relationships, then RunwayDiamonds has fulfilled its purpose.
Olga Amraie: One final question. If a young creative professional asked you for one piece of advice, what would it be?
Serge Tagro: Don’t chase attention.
Build credibility.
Attention comes and goes.
Credibility stays with you.
Invest in your skills. Protect your reputation. Treat people with respect.
And remember that success in the fashion industry has never been built by one person alone.
The strongest careers are built through collaboration.
