In 2018, nestled within the vibrant core of Cincinnati, Ohio, a forward-thinking individual set forth on a journey destined to reshape the professional terrain for Black Americans nationwide. Michael Moore, a figure now emblematic of revolutionary leadership and societal transformation, embarked on a mission to create a tapestry of unity among Black professionals nationwide. This vision materialized into what is known today as the Black Achievers Network. This organization stands as a beacon of hope and progress for countless individuals.
Michael Moore’s journey is nothing short of inspirational. From teaching himself computer code at the tender age of 19 to launching his own web development business that would eventually gross over a million dollars annually, Moore has consistently shattered barriers. His academic achievements are equally commendable; with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, he navigated through corporate America with remarkable success. As an account manager for a Fortune 500 company and an IT Project Manager at Fifth Third Bank, Moore honed his leadership and strategic planning skills—skills that would later fuel his endeavors with Black Achievers.

The inception of Black Achievers was driven by Moore’s profound understanding of the challenges faced by Black communities in achieving economic empowerment and professional growth. Through this platform, he aimed to connect individuals and foster an environment where knowledge-sharing and mutual support would pave the way for collective advancement. The network’s motto encapsulates this ethos perfectly: “Connect, educate and economically empower the Black community.”
Since its establishment five years ago, Black Achievers has experienced exponential growth. From one chapter in Cincinnati to twelve nationwide chapters today, it is clear that Moore’s vision resonates deeply within communities nationwide. With over 120,000 members and ambitious plans to expand into 48 cities while reaching one million members in the next five years, Black Achievers is on track to redefine what it means to achieve the American Dream for many.
The impact of Michael Moore and the Black Achievers Network has not gone unnoticed. In 2024 alone, their efforts were recognized through two significant accomplishments: receiving a $200,000 Neighborhood Builders Grant from Bank of America and being honored with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognized Moore for contributing more than 4,000 hours of service, a testament to his dedication and impact.
Beyond these accolades lies Moore’s literary contribution, “Achieve Your Dreams: The 9 Principles of African American Success.” He extends his mentorship beyond direct interactions within Black Achievers Network meetings or events through this work. He provides readers with actionable insights grounded in personal experience and historical wisdom—a guidebook for anyone looking to navigate their path toward success.
