Renee Everett is a Miami-born entrepreneur, educator and community builder focused on creating systems that support children, caregivers and working families. Her approach to leadership was shaped by a close-knit family, faith, education and an emphasis on service. As the youngest of six siblings, she grew up observing the importance of responsibility, connection and community.
Everett entered the workforce at 18 as a preschool teacher, where her interest in supporting children and families became a foundation for her professional path. Before turning 21, she moved into a supervisory role at Mount Sinai, gaining early experience leading staff, managing responsibilities in a high-pressure environment and balancing structure with compassion. These experiences helped shape her view that effective leadership depends on consistency, accountability and care for people.
Her entrepreneurial experience also began early, including a cake business and a human-hair venture that taught her lessons about customer trust, branding, online sales and the risks of relying on a single platform. After losing a social media page connected to her customer base, she became more intentional about building sustainable systems and diversifying how businesses connect with their audiences.
Today, Everett’s work centers on childcare and community empowerment, particularly the need for reliable 24/7 and overnight options for families working non-traditional hours. Her focus is on creating environments where children can experience stability and care while parents have flexibility to meet their responsibilities. Through her work, she explores how compassion, structure, boundaries and sustainable leadership can work together to address community needs.
