Kenny Anderson, a nationally certified counselor and longtime radio personality, has been selected as a featured speaker on Shawn Fair’s Leadership Experience Tour. The Huntsville-based leadership coach is the founder of the coaching platform Pathways to Purpose, which centers on self-awareness, accountability, and intentional personal growth.
Anderson is scheduled to speak at the Michigan State University Education Center in Troy, Michigan, during the tour’s August 2026 stop. He brings more than three decades of experience on the speaking circuit, where he has built a reputation for engaging, high-energy presentations on leadership and personal development.
Who Is Kenny Anderson
Anderson was appointed Huntsville’s Multicultural Affairs Officer by Mayor Tommy Battle, and he later became the City’s first Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. His professional background spans education, counseling, and public service. He spent sixteen years at Calhoun Community College, most recently as Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, and has launched several academic scholarships at Alabama institutions to support students pursuing their education.
Since 1990, Anderson has hosted his weekly radio program, 2nd Chance, on WJOU Praise 90.1 FM every Sunday. The show explores contemporary issues tied to the challenges of everyday life. As Executive Director of the Leadership Empowerment Enterprise, a nonprofit he founded, he focuses on personal development seminars, mentor training, and philanthropy.
