In an age where viral fame is often as ephemeral as a shooting star, Alana Hubbard’s story stands out as a beacon of enduring brilliance. Her journey, marked by resilience, reinvention, and relentless pursuit of passion, has transitioned from capturing the grim visage of The Walking Dead cast members to igniting fire dances on global stages, This narrative weaves through triumphs and tribulations with the grace of a carefully choreographed circus act, proving that true passion can evolve into purposeful action.
Alana first caught the public eye between 2014 and 2019 when her unique photography perspective went viral repeatedly. Her captures ranged from bold representations like bald Cinderella alongside pediatric cancer patients to celebrating love in its myriad forms with her innovative gay Disney prince photo shoot. Yet, it was her children and their friends emulating “The Walking Dead” that catapulted her into widespread recognition—eventually leading her to work alongside cast members at Walker Stalker Cons. Despite achieving what many would consider the pinnacle of success, including contracts with MTV and New York Fashion Week aspirations, Alana faced daunting personal health challenges that would pivot her life in an unexpected direction.
In 2020, amidst overcoming cervical cancer and recovering from a severe car accident that left her battling Trigeminal Neuralgia among other injuries, Alana heeded an inexplicable call to change. She sold Mother Hubbard Photography and embarked on a new chapter in Orlando, Florida. It was here she met Austin Wood—a pivotal figure in her life—who introduced her to fire dance. His tutelage, guidance, wisdom and ability to fire dance inspired Alana and reignited her passion for performing. Together they forged a path that led to the creation of Alana’s company Alura Entertainment—a company redefining circus arts with its mesmerizing fusion of traditional dance and fire flow techniques, and then Austin departed to America to begin his journey to visit all 195 countries.

Alura Entertainment quickly ascended as Florida’s premier circus entertainment company under Alana’s leadership. Its signature offering, Firedanz, not only showcased Alana’s multifaceted talents but also embodied a family ethos by involving her children Mason and Mariana as paid performers. She also competes in pageants and is the current reigning Mrs. Saint Cloud, and Mrs. Osceola County. Beyond entertainment, Alana founded Toxicura—a nonprofit dedicated to aiding those recovering from toxic relationships through holistic approaches complemented —underscoring her commitment to mental health advocacy after the death of her sister Raquel. She is also furthering her education as a student at UCF to receive a Master’s in LCSW to assist the Thrivers in Toxicura. She will be releasing a book soon and can be heard dispensing wisdom on the Toxicura Podcast with Rebekah Cassell.
2024 heralded further expansion for Alura Entertainment with performances at CES Expo in Las Vegas which serendipitously steered Alana into politics after meeting Presidential Candidate Gabriel Cornejo. Concurrently running his congressional campaign marked another testament to Alana’s versatility and drive for impacting societal change beyond the arts. She hired the multi-talented Emily Conti to help handle the Alura Empire.

Alana’s influence continued to ripple outward when she met and collaborated with Joel Roselle, a model and Army Ranger Veteran to help form PeaceKeeper Protection—a veteran-owned security nonprofit. Joel and Alana will be touring the country this summer as he provides security for her at a multitude of gigs. Additionally they are preparing to revolutionize New York Fashion Week with the world’s first circus runway show in collaboration with Candice Christian and CDCD Productions. This endeavor not only aligns perfectly with Alana’s lifelong dreams of being a runway model and performer but also symbolizes resilience overcoming past adversities.

Amidst managing ventures such as bringing raves to assisted living facilities or setting stages ablaze at high-profile events across Florida with over 50 talented cast members spanning Jacksonville to Miami—Alura Entertainment is poised for historical acclaim akin to P.T. Barnum & Bailey’s spectacle, and all of this stemmed from Austin Wood, the American veteran who learned to spin fire on the shores of Hawaii.Fate brought them together and now they are poised to change the history of fire flow and circus arts by providing lessons and entertainment to those of all ages!
