Dr. Christy Bock is the founder of Cornerstone Educational Solutions, where she leads a team dedicated to helping students, families and school districts better understand and support children with learning differences and disabilities through comprehensive educational evaluations. With more than 27 years of experience as an educational psychologist, she has built a career centered on compassionate assessment, informed advocacy, and practical solutions that empower both educators and parents.
Her commitment to this work is deeply rooted in personal experience. Growing up with undiagnosed dyslexia, Dr. Bock struggled academically and experienced repeated moments of embarrassment that shaped her understanding of how easily children can be misunderstood within the education system. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her future, she transformed them into the foundation of a mission focused on ensuring that every child is seen for their strengths instead of being limited by their challenges.
Today, her work extends beyond assessments. Through Cornerstone Educational Solutions, she collaborates with schools and families throughout California, helping create pathways for students to receive appropriate educational support while also providing opportunities for educational professionals to build meaningful careers. Her perspective is further strengthened by her role as a mother of six children (two sons with ADHD, one of whom also has dyslexia, and four daughters adopted from China, two with special needs), giving her firsthand insight into both the professional and personal sides of educational advocacy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bock has emphasized the importance of empathy, clear communication and collaboration between families and educators. She believes informed evaluations can help replace uncertainty with understanding, allowing students to access resources that support both academic achievement and personal confidence.
