A Tale of Triumph: Beena Yusuf’s Journey from Dreams, Despair and Triumph

Life often unfolds in unexpected ways, and the story of Beena Yusuf is a testament to the twists and turns one can encounter on the path to success. From her rise to becoming the Editor-in-Chief of ‘SHE Magazine USA’ to her battle with a life-threatening brain tumor, Beena’s journey is a rollercoaster of glitz, glamor, and resilience.

In the dazzling city of Dubai, Beena Yusuf’s life seemed picture-perfect. Married to the love of her life and working for the U.S. Consulate, Beena’s ambitions reached new heights when she ventured into the world of fashion. Her innovative designs of “bishts,” traditional Middle Eastern capes, caught the eye of fashion enthusiasts and catapulted her into the spotlight. It was a dream come true for this spirited dreamer.

Beena’s journey took a captivating turn when SHE Magazine, the very publication she had sought solace in as a young girl, came knocking on her door. In 2018, she assumed the roles of CEO and Editor-in-Chief of ‘SHE Magazine USA,’ transforming it into a powerhouse of fashion and culture. With a focus on high-profile models, influencers, and celebrities, Beena made sure the magazine resonated with a new audience.

Life can be unpredictable, and Beena’s life took a dramatic turn on October 14, 2019. Her younger brother’s heart stopped, and he fell into a coma. The doctors gave a bleak prognosis, but Beena’s unwavering support and love defied the odds. Today, her brother is a living testament to the power of determination.

In 2022, Beena’s life was filled with anticipation as she and her husband expected their first child. However, joy turned to worry when Beena began experiencing vision problems and severe headaches during her baby shower. What initially seemed like typical pregnancy symptoms turned out to be a massive benign brain tumor.

Just three days after giving birth to a healthy baby girl through an emergency cesarean, Beena underwent brain surgery. Her journey of recovery was marked by resilience, taking a year to heal physically, while the emotional scars may take a lifetime. Beena’s daughter became her motivation, her reason to keep pushing forward.

That if you are different or look a certain way or life has just been really unfair to you, that you are still powerful and still beautiful.
