From Kyiv Dreams to European Success — How Two Ukrainian Sisters Are Shaping Beauty One Look at a Time
When fashion intersects with fine art, something truly special can emerge — and few exemplify that fusion as vividly as Ukrainian sisters Inna Sych, an international artist and fashion illustrator, and Maryna Pirnak, a stylist whose creative vision is steadily gaining attention across European editorials.
Both sisters originally studied economics and marketing, yet their passion for creativity has always been clear.
“Even as kids, we dreamed of art and fashion,” shares Inna. “Eventually, life led us back to where we’ve always felt we truly belonged.”
From Kyiv to Vienna — Rising Again
In Kyiv, the duo had already begun carving out their places in the fashion world. However, the war forced them to leave Ukraine and rebuild their lives from the ground up. They found refuge in Austria, where, in just under three years, they’ve made significant strides.
Maryna’s styling career quickly gained momentum, leading to collaborations with figures like Nadine Mirada, Elli Preiss, Andrea Denver, Cariuma, RIAN, and AENGL. Her dynamic style has been featured in esteemed publications such as L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Vanguardist, and Off Town Magazine, among others.
Inna, meanwhile, has exhibited her work at over a dozen art fairs, exhibitions, and residencies around the world, with her most recent showcase at the New York ART EXPO, where she displayed her deeply emotional and raw art. She’s illustrated a cover for Woman Magazine, been featured in ELLE Ukraine, sold a painting to a billionaire’s wife, Crystal Rose, and even given art to Billie Eilish.
“We aim to help people see themselves in a different light — whether through fashion or art,” explains Inna.

What They Love Most
When asked about what drives their creativity, the sisters’ passion is evident.
“I enjoy combining elements that people typically wouldn’t think to mix,” says Maryna. “It’s about creating harmony from chaos — that’s what excites me. The best part is stepping back and seeing the final result — a cohesive look that carries meaning, tells a story, and captures beauty through my lens.”
“For me,” shares Inna, “it’s all about the journey. I love the moment when someone connects with my work on an emotional level — that spark, the ‘wow’ moment. Every piece of art holds a part of me and my emotions. My art isn’t about meeting conventional beauty standards — it’s about self-acceptance. I believe in embracing our uniqueness, even in our imperfections. The key is to live in harmony with oneself and recognize the strength within. I try to convey a simple message of happiness in life, because I believe that the questions we ask ourselves influence the quality of our lives.”
“And when it comes to my fashion illustrations, each piece is a celebration of haute couture and the enduring beauty of femininity. In every drawing, I explore how fabric, design, and creativity come together to capture the many layers of beauty and transformation.”
Collaborating as Sisters

Although both sisters primarily work in fashion, they recently collaborated for the first time on a remarkable shoot with renowned photographer Stefan Kokovic and model-influencer Nadine Mirada. The results were featured in ELLE Colombia and Insider.At.
“It was an empowering experience to work together at last,” the sisters share. “We feel lucky to have been part of such a talented team — it’s an experience we’ll never forget.”
Looking ahead, both sisters suggest there may be more joint projects on the horizon, with their shared vision continuing to evolve.
“We’re only just beginning,” says Maryna. “Our story is one of beauty, resilience, and sisterhood — and it’s far from over.”
Together, they reimagine beauty — one through the brush, the other through fashion.
