Tell us a few things about yourself that shaped who you are today. How did you become multi-talented? Your recent film is doing its festival circuit. What is it about, and how was your experience shooting it? Working on “Arugam Bay” as an actress & executive producer was a privilege for me since I had the pleasure to work with renowned Israeli stars shooting in Israel & Sri Lanka and reacquaint myself with the cultural differences and real-life traumas most soldiers experience, something I left behind 25 years ago. The film was written & directed by Marco Carmel and Mor Polanuer. The plot follows three close friends who went to serve in the military together. The trio had made a promise during the war that they would go for a surfing trip afterward, but when one of them got killed in battle, the remaining two decided to take the trip with the girlfriend of their late friend. The trip encounters new personalities, one of them is an American woman, Brooke, a role I played, who introduces them to substances as a means to overcome PTSD. Besides the flashbacks of war memories and other emotional traumas the characters are dealing with, their entire friendship and loyalty bondage is tested.
